Clicking on "Link" button on the blip menu causes error message

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login to Wiab.
2. Create a new wave, click on the "Link" button.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Pop up with link to the blip is displayed.
Actual: Displayed alert message: "Unable to link to this blip, invalid 
conversation id vegalabz.com!conv+root".
What changeset or version are you using?
rev 826

Please provide any additional information below.
The issue is caused by attempt to serialize the wavelet id with 
ModernIdSerializer while the actual id has legacy representation.

Suggested fix is attached.
