[FR] Produce a RSS feed #333

Open huyz opened 4 months ago

It would be nice if Hoarder were the primary bookmarker, and I could feed part of the list (in particular ones with a special tag) to my ArchiveBox instance. This could be done by publishing one or more RSS feeds, as LinkDing (and apparently Wallabag) does. Would be great if the feed depended on query parameters to filter, e.g. by tag(s).

This FR is the flip side of the https://github.com/hoarder-app/hoarder/issues/202 issue.

Sorry for the late reply, but this makes sense as a feature request. Added it to the backlog

@huyz - I'm only curious, but why would you want to feed an RSS-feed to archivebox when Hoarder can do offline archiving by itself?

huyz commented 1 month ago

@davralin check out ArchiveBox. There are many ways to do offline archival

I already use archivebox.

So the reason you want to continue doing archiving with Archivebox is because of all the formats it archives in?

huyz commented 1 month ago

Yes

Can Hoarder open a Chromium, run extensions, and then grab a page? Many sites don't work otherwise

I'll take a look at taking this on. I wrote a very similar feature for my link archiver spike: https://enlace.space/~erik/rss.xml
