Plugin converts markdown into HTML #19

For some reason, after pasting markdown content into a page, and then updating the page, all of the markdown is converted to html.

Jetpack 6.4.2 WP 4.9.8 plugin 0.1.7

No other plugins activated that could be interfering, and this has happened to me on 2 different sites.
