[x] Add common steps about how to fork, clone, make changes, push, and open PR
[x] Mention how building a dist works.
[x] provide both yarn and equivalent npm commands.

this will resolve issue #11

P.S. Something that you missed: It's always better to ask for assignment of a specific issue if there's one, before opening a PR so efforts won't be duplicated :)
