Could google maps be a source?

Enhancement request:

Could we use google maps as a potential source? I know google restricts
access to their tiles, but what about the static maps api? Could an adaptor
be written for this? I'd love to help, but I'm very new to objective-c so
this more of a hopeful vote than an offer.

Would love to see this, thanks for the great work so far!

There's no technical reason this couldn't be done. You'd have to license, from 
Google, the use of their map 
data. The Objective-C signature of a tile source in Route-me is well defined.

If you're not able to do this work yourself, there are several contributors to 
the project who are qualified to do 
this work on a contract basis, sponsored by your company. Hopefully your 
company would sponsor the work 
under terms that would allow the code to be contributed back to the project.

Realistically, since this would require ongoing payments to Google, the work is 
not likely to be done unless a 
company or person steps forward to sponsor it.
