Review 3rd party PRs and update our records about compatibility

There are a number of 3rd party PRs on the go. We should keep an eye on them.

As a related task we should collect all we've learned about what's compatible with what and record it.

I think we're coming to the end of the road with this one. Only one left on an unmaintained project. I've added a comment on the mailing list, but we'll see
