@psybers I can see it repeatedly logs "Illegal argument: line must be non-negative".
Can you try to open one project with no collaborators on, and see if the errors are the same?
@iamhyc Ok, if I open a project with 0 collaborators, then it seems to work perfect. I see changes sync both directions, and I see cursors on both the web and vscode for the edit locations.
Ok so I tried a few other projects. Other projects with collaborators added (but not online) seem to work.
I also opened another and had a collaborator in it and that worked fine.
So it seems to be somehow related to the specific project I tried first.
Is the fact it is integrated with IEEE submission a problem?
Ok so trying to figure out what does/doesn't work... and now the original project that caused problems is working just fine.
So at the moment, I have no bug. No idea what originally triggered it, but at least right now things work great.
Describe the bug
I am able to connect to the main Overleaf server, using the cookie-based login method. I am able to see my list of projects, and can open any of them in a virtual windows (using
) and see the files, and the contents. It builds the PDF and previews it just fine.It always shows "Overleaf Workshop: Online" with a "0" for collaborators online, even if some are currently editing the same file.
No file changes seem to sync, in either direction. Updates on the website do not show in VSCode, and updates in VSCode do not show on the website. I see no cursor indicator for collaborators.
Expected behavior
While I type, I would expect to see those changes mirrored on the Overleaf website (perhaps after saving the file). When others edit on Overleaf, I would expect to see those changes in VSCode.
