Unpacking the points of light #2

So, let's say we've implemented some radial intensity distribution, following the discussion in #1. It may even have some azimuthal modulation on top of that, but whatever. How do we go about unpacking it into emission in individual channel maps?

Right now, a good place to start is to treat the emission as a cone, assume everything is optically thick layer, and see what we can get. From there on, we can try building in things like near side / far side, as well as limb darkening / attenuation.

For example, we could follow the emissivity formalism in Wilkins et al., and factor in some sort of foreshortening, based upon azimuthal angle and flaring angle of the disk.
