Is the Agent maximized when/while you play Starcraft? If so, try to resize it
to a
window size which is not maximized.
What operating system are you using? Java version?

The window size of the agent doesn't make a difference. When the agent is
minimized,
the same thing happens. I am using Windows XP 5.1 SP3 on an x86 architecture. It
looks like I'm running Java 6 Update 17.

The Agent should not cause any of this.
Do you experience the blackout if you don't run the Agent?

No, I do not experience it if I don't run the Agent. However, it should be
noted that
I also have a probably unrelated issue with Broodwar where when I start it,
select
select Multiplayer, then select the gateway. Before it connects to a gateway it
will
randomly exit, giving me an error "Starcraft has unexpectedly quit." This
doesn't
happen every time, though, and when it does happen, I can just force the
Starcraft
process to quit and then reopen it. Then it works. So how this relates to
BWHF...possibly something on my system is screwy. :s I have to go to work now,
but
tonight I can send you a list of the processes running.

The blackscreen thing does not happen to me. I've tried to cause it by quickly
tabbing, untabbing over and over and was not able to achieve your results.
Have you tried reinstalling your Starcraft/Video Drivers?

I have reinstalled Starcraft. That did nothing. I haven't tried reinstalling my
video
drivers...I'll do it in 10 days or so. I will not be at my computer for a while.
Thanks for all the help!

I was unable to reproduce this as well.

Hi,
I have the exact same issue, and it doesn't matter if I launch Starcraft
through the
tool or if I launch them separately. When I try to exit SC the screen goes
black and
I cannot do anything except restart the computer manually. And this only
happens
when bwhf is active.
I have Windows XP SP3, NVIDIA Geforce 7600GT.

I wonder if it's NVIDIA/SP3 related...

I believe it's not XP and SP3 related as someone using Windows 7 reported the
same.
So now I can only think of a video card or driver issue.
All I can suggest to try out are these:
-try to run the agent normal/ as administrator
-try to run Starcraft in different modes with desktop composition disabled,
with
different compatibility modes
-Start BWHF Agent with one user in windows, then switch user, and start
Starcraft
with anothe user (while the agent is running with the first user).

I believe I have run into this issue before. I can't say that the agent causes
it,
but I will do some tests. This also does not occur 100% of the time. I believe
windows explorer (the process that has the desktop, start menu/bar at the
bottom)
crashes some times. This only happens after minimizing Starcraft with the
windows
key. When I Alt + Tab back to SC (in the channel lobby), it usually doesn't
maximize
(a SC error that I have at times). From there, I have to exit SC with Alt + F4
and
either restart my computer or use a script from stealthbot to reload Starcraft.
Printscreen does not work (as windows explorer has crashed), so game lobby
checks do
not work. I am an administrator on my computer.
Hope this can provide some insight.

I have not solved the issue but I have found the only thing that helps me so I
don't
have to restart the computer every time. The only thing that helps is when I
click
on the www button on the keybord, that's the only function that then slowely
opens
up a browser so I can then sey the icons on the desktop and shut down bwhf,
then
everything works as normal.
Hope this helps to you guys as well.
