No pulling location data from Twitter #51

I have tested several accounts that I know to contain geolocation data - unfortunately, the analyze always results in no location found. "We could not find any locations for the analyzed project".

I'm not sure how to send a log file - but I'd like to figure out what the issue is. had no issues configuring the plugins.

Great education and awareness tool -

Hi there. Can you share one of this accounts ( here, or privately ) so we can verify ? How are you sure that they contain geolocation data ?

I'm working on getting creepy fixed in Kali and I'm also not getting any locations returned. For any user I choose, the following appears in the error log:

DEBUG:yapsy_loaded_plugin_Twitter_Plugin_3:Attempting to retrieve the tweets for user 14269934 ERROR:yapsy_loaded_plugin_Twitter_Plugin_3:'dict' object has no attribute 'name' ERROR:yapsy_loaded_plugin_Twitter_Plugin_3:Error getting locations from twitter plugin

This is on Kali x86, with python-instragram and yapsy installed via pip.

@dookie2000ca can you hit me up with a mail, and we can take it there so that we dont highjack this thread ?
