Not all Editable settings of a job on the PRISMAsync controller can be applied to an automated workflow. #6

We rely on an extensive part of automation for our print workflows.

Once one configuration (print-job-settings) is defined for a particular document, any similar document is printed without any operator intervention. (Actually we do not have a print operator).

This works well for 95% of our print jobs, but in some cases, we have to send the job to the 'Waiting job' and do some manual intervention, because the 'automated workflow' does not have any possibility to set an option. So it is only possible to do this on the printer itself with the PRISMAsync controller or through the browser. Another option is to print from the Docbox, but that means to have an archive of jobs that can not be printed automatically. This prevents us to have all our documents up-to-date an in compliance.

Printing from the docbox in our case is only an option for high-volume print-jobs, running low-volumes print-jobs and each job needs manual intervention is unacceptable.

Below is an example of an option that is not available in the automated workflow. It is setting the 'Allign' option to Center Left for booklet printing, not a very special option.

The "align center left" for the booklet is available in the Windows driver. (see "Binding Edge: left") image

However, I cannot find it when printing with the macOS driver: image The option binding only contains the option "No binding" and there is nothing else regarding alignment.
