Large RAM memory usage - more than 80 mb of RSS memory on fresh start #754

I have searching lighter jabber app that can works well on low-cost computers.

Vacuum-IM show good start time and work performance on slow computers, but I
see that it use too much RAM memory, even if I add only one jabber account with
less than 5 roster items on fresh start of Vacuum, hidden in tray it uses more
than 80 mb of memory, here is results on Ubuntu 13.04 AMD64:
RES memory: 83344 kb, Shared 45415 kb.
Same sizes are on Windows version of Vacuum-IM.

For computers with 512 mb or 1 gb of ram it is too large for only one chat
application.

Is there exists any configuration items or command line parameters for decrease
memory usage?

I have the same question. I work on Windows XP. Vacuum take 48 Mb just after
start and about 80-100 Mb after several hours of active usage. Is it possible
to reduce it?

You can reduce memory usage by disabling plugins in Setup Plugins menu (first
of all disable "Adium Message Styles" and "Statistics"). 80-100 Mb is not a
large memory usage for Qt program.
