@mmccarty , I made this pass by temporarily moving the latest dev build of Intake to Main (https://github.com/ContinuumIO/intake/issues/129 - this is not the way we should be doing things!).

I think this ready to merge. Should tag when Intake is tagged.

I think you still need to call cache.clear_all at the end of that test to clean up the metadata.
