Synthesizer crashes when powered with RF #826

So I am playing with Minechem 5.05 and the decomposer works fine. I can breakdown items no sweat. However, when I go to try and synthesize them the game crashes when I apply power to the synthesizer. I can drop the synthesizer and go into the gui provided I do not power the machine. However, the moment I try to power it up it crashes the game client as soon as I open the gui. This is repeatable with both Immersive Engineering HV connectors and Thermal Expansion Resonant Fluxduct. The tool takes on power from either connector and powers up to max level. But it crashes when I open the GUI. If I leave the energy pipes connected they will be gone when I load the game back up. This is true for both Immersive Engineering & Thermal Expansion power. Anyone every run into this problem?

I never explored that far into this Mod, but one tidbit of information that'd help is WHICH version 5.05? there's quite a few if you'll recall.
