LG 02-01 Strange phrasing regarding conflicts between short-term and long-term goals

LG 02-01 says "Software architects can explain potential conflicts between short-term and long-term goals, in order to resolve potential conflicts"

Explaining something to resolve it does not make sense to me (although explaining it sure is an important part of it...)

Proposal: Software architects can identify potential conflicts between short-term and long-term goals, and discuss these conflicts with stakeholders in order to resolve them
