TA can be free at multiple times in a day, with work in between #8

a ta can have lessons in the middle of the day but be free before and after those lessons.

in the app however, a ta can only be free for 1 continuous time in the day, meaning if a ta has lessons from 12:00 to 13:00 but is free before and after that, the user has to choose which they would want to assign as free time to that ta

this can have some issues with mod planning for the user

This would mean handling an array of time intervals in a day but this would have to be a feature for a future iteration. Since this free time is meant for professors to look for replacement, the feature is still reasonably useful.

Reason for disagreement: Since you say this feature is meant to help professors look for replacements, it now depends on how the professor has decided to tag their TA's free time, if they had followed some sort of standard procedure and say tagged TA's as free until they are not sometime in the middle of the day, they have now limited theirselves for the TA's which they could use as replacement. Say there is a class that needs replacement at 5pm, but if a large number of TA's have lessons that day or are not free for some other reason earlier in the day, there could be very few TA's (based on your app, these people may not even be free in reality due to some ad hoc plans) which the prof can call upon to fill in for the class, even though in reality many more can be free in case those stated on the app are not free due to some other reasons
