Yup indeed there is no way to delete free time through the editft
command. However, the user can do the following:
Since there are ways to mitigate this issue and we do not expect this field to change frequently, we have decided to out the severity as low.
Team chose [severity.Low
]
Originally [severity.Medium
]
Reason for disagreement: I disagree that this is of low severity, as people's schedules change all the time. Furthermore editing the json directly comes with its own risks. As you have stated in your own UG, if an error is made, TAManager will discard ALL the data and start with an empty file. Thus if a user were to accidentally make a mistake which can happen to the best of us, they would lose all their information. Definitely not a minor inconvenience.
With the number of tags a TA can have, deleting a ta and adding them back again is itself a troublesome endeavour, having to write out all the relevant fields on another app or piece of paper and then type it back inside the app. As I said earlier, schedules change all the time and having to do this frequently is definitely not a minor inconvenience in an app that is supposed help me manage my TAs more efficiently
there is a case where a ta may have told me the user that they are free on a certain day from xx:xx to yy:yy, however after their course schedule came out, they are no longer free for the whole day.
however if i have already added that to the app, i have no way to delete the free time from that ta.
