Really bad design of answering and ending calls #1162

What kind of person designed such stupid interface? On my Samsung galaxy S3 
when i try to answer call with right hand i hit proxy sensor before i can drag 
that damn stupid thing to the top and it shut off screen and will not answer 
call.
Make this damn retarded interface configurable to something else, because i'm 
sick and tired of using menu and accepting call from menu.

isn't there some sane person who can design UI that does not require to drag 
this stupid slider the WHOLE FUCKING LENGTH OF SCREEN?
