One of my highest priorities for this project is getting internationalization support merged in. The upstream issue for this, marktext/marktext#138, has seen years of engagement and interest. A PR to add internationalization, marktext/marktext#2773 was opened back in December 2021 but wasn't merged. That PR is now out of sync with the development branch, and may require significant work to update.
It would be great to set up a Weblate instance or something similar, and find folks who'd be willing to help contribute translations.
