Commented by mcpudding@gmail.com on 14 Jul 2011 21:10 UTC When refreshing the device the process finishes within a few seconds where it normally takes a minute or two. The operating system is Debian Squeeze GNU/Linux. I'll attach the log file.

Commented by mcpudding@gmail.com on 17 Jul 2011 21:05 UTC This log was from a fresh jajuk start because i removed the .jajuk directory to be sure that wasn't the reason for the problem. The log looks fine indeed, but instead of 4 wav files it should find numerouos other files (mp3, avi). And mplayer is installed. All files are readable, i rechecked all permissions and they are fine. It just seems jajuk stops traversing the tree. This problem was not in a previous version of jajuk.
Commented by bflorat on 18 Jul 2011 09:51 UTC After a deeper look at the code, it seems that some errors could not be logged due to a minor problem that will be fixed. Could you please start jajuk from command line (just type $ jajuk), reproduce your problem and send the last command line output (which should contain even the exceptions not traces in the logs) ?

Commented by bflorat on 18 Jul 2011 18:39 UTC Aha ! indeed, we have an hidden issue (NPE in covers tag reading).
We have a serious issue here, will have to release 1.9.4 ASAP.
Thanks a lot for reporting and tests.
Commented by mcpudding@gmail.com on 19 Jul 2011 05:12 UTC I am glad I could be of help. Thank you for fixing the bug in my favourite "media player"!
Commented by bflorat on 19 Jul 2011 07:40 UTC Fix in upcoming (this morning) 1.9.4 and develop branch.
Note that I'm unsure about the frequency of this bug but it is critical whenever it occurs. I can't reproduce it on my pretty large collection, it may arise with a certain kind of id3 tag (tag corrupted by some taggers ? ).
Reported by mcpudding on 14 Jul 2011 19:56 UTC When i add a device it only finds four files while there are a lot more. Refreshing, removing the .jajuk directory and re-installing doesn't help. Can't use the program with this bug.
