Installing packages(Doubt, not an issue) #10

Hi,

I am having a couple of doubts regarding this app:

1) I was wondering if its possible to install packages using Terminal IDE, ex:
g++ or gcc. Does the usual
"sudo apt-get install package", ubuntu style install work for it? if not, is
there any other way? Is there any documentation for this app? Also, is it valid
to try and install stuff into it?

2) I installed the system, which said that its going to overwrite ~system/
folder, exactly does it replace(and what are the changes that occur to the
phone OS because of this?

Just in case, if it matters, I'm using Android version 2.3.6 with Gingerbread
and it is a Samsung Phone.

Thanks!

HI,

~ is your HOME folder.

in this case

/data/data/comc.spartacusrex.spartacuside/files/

In in no way touches your phone OS

in order to install packages in Terminal IDE, you would need to root your
device, in which case, you would be better served using an alternate BusyBox
install.
