RC7 can't play two games in a row #247

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play Gold's Gym Cardio Boxing
2. After playing, hit HOME button, pick Wii Menu
3. Load Wii Cover Flow again through Homebrew Channel

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect Wii Cover Flow to load. Instead, get a black screen, no errors of
any kind.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RC7, after each game I have to cycle the power on the Wii to play the next
game. I back up my games so that I don't have to touch the Wii, so far,
not working, might as well swap out the original game discs between games
if I have to walk to the Wii anyways.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have to clarify, Wii Cover Flow did load after the first game, but after the
first
game I tried to load EA Active through Cover Flow, it was after clicking on
Load for
EA Active that I got a black screen instead of the game.

Sorry for the erroneous description. Can't play two games in a row, but
instead of
failing on load of Cover Flow as described, it fails on load of second game via
Cover
Flow. Could possibly be the combination of games that causes the error, haven't
tried other game combos yet.

I did some more experimenting, if I user HOME -> Wii Menu -> Homebrew Channel
-> Wii
Cover Flow or HOME -> Reset -> Homebrew Channel -> Wii Cover Flow it makes no
difference, the second game doesn't load. Is the same for everyone or is my Wii
special? Also, after the third or fourth power down (holding power button 3 or
so
seconds [reset button doesn't work when game fails to load without any
feedback]) I
got the following message:

"The System Files are corrupted.
Please refer to the Wii Operations Manual
for help troubleshooting."

Has anyone else gotten that message? Is that fairly common?

Thanks for the awesome work.

I can confirm that this happens to me. I use the USB Loader channel to launch
cover
flow and have to power down the Wii in order to play the second game (seems not
to
matter which game was first played or second to play)

First noticed this issue at RC6.
Please let me know if you need more info.
