thank you very much for your tool. The only easy way to remove the blockquotes easily with Thunderbird 68.7. Unfortunately if I switch it on, there are no signatures on mail forward anymore. It works for mail reply and new mail - but not forward. - If I switch the add-on off, it works for forward.
Signature works for me for new, reply and forward on TB 68.7 and macOS 10.15.4.
Did you enable debug mode and look for 'RWH DEBUG Signature not exists' in error console?
Are you using Windows? I can check on an old Windows 7 PC later. Any other addons that could cause the problem?

It might be the last sentence with "Node was not found". I have the
feeling, but can not say for sure, that the first occurrence of the
problem was after changing the language to German and changing back
didn't help. Next I will try is uninstalling the plugin and
reinstalling. Maybe this helps. I'll let you know.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. I get the same result. For the Forward it
does not use the settings of RWH but the build in of Thunderbird + it
removes the signature. And replay is with English (from, sent, to, cc,
subject) and forward is German (Betreff, Datum, von, an, etc.), and I
got the following error log:
