Visual distortion on recorded tv files #297

When using the Android version on JellyFin and a HDHomeRun 2 Channel Device I have noticed that some of the clips that are recorded have the bottom half of the screen is significantly distorted. It is always the bottom half of the screen and you can not make out any of the image in the bottom 50% of the screen.

Can you check with a browser? Also could you please provide screenshots showing the distortion?

I am now running emby as a temporary software whilst some of the bugs are fixed so I can't retest on a browser but I have attached a photo I took of the glitch

Are you sure it's Android and not Android TV? Also I would say it should be a server-side problem. I don't think we can fix it until you could provide more information, for which installing Jellyfin back is a prerequisite :)

It is Android using chromecast to view the recording. The recording itself has the distortion, it is the same problem when viewing on the phone itself.

The recording seems to have the distortion itself, and happens about 50% of the time, it is not an Android TV problem in this case.

I'm inclined to declare that a HW problem of your tuner, can you check that you can watch it or record from it using some other software (not Jellyfin) successfully?

Works perfectly fine every time using emby and plex. So can confirm it's not the tuner.
