walkthrough unconference

Nick J Tierney introduced me to the idea that there is a delineation between unconference and hackathon. He delineated the semantics thus, if I recall correctly: an unconf is explicitly non-compmetitve and each group works on a different problem in open science and there is essentially democracy of merit apportioned. Thus, I posit our session to develop at walkthrough with meritget is an unconference session. @jenrichmond holler if you have any objections.

• [x] make language consistent with: unconference, walkthrough, and meritget.
• [x] consolidate or restructure the paragraphs into the minimal information required for the participants of the workshop
• [x] create supporting documents and link
• [x] link supporting documents on unconf site page
• [x] create issue with what @jenrichmond and I talked about this morning.
• [x] link to this issue on site page and in gdoc for manuscript
• [ ] link to site on gdoc
• [ ] link to this walkthrough example; incidentally is a great story of why I needed to.

this is my first experience of unconf and hackathon, so I don't mind about semantics. What was the def of hackathon for comparison?

I dunno, but as a mathematician, all I need to know is it's not specifically an unconf because hackathons can and do have competitive elements.
