I see there's a new tide station "tamaki river", which is where I am, so that's all good. I wonder if there was intended to be "Waitemata" added to the list as well?
Oh, I tried the suggestions, no change.
Multiple locations don't have data. Anawhata, Ben gunn wharf
Just saw this same issue.
Hi All, can you confirm that you are using version 19 (the latest available from the play store),
Everything is working fine for my devices.
Swipe down and the get the settings menu via the gear icon. Chose Apps. Choose NZ tides and the scroll down to version
I'm on version 18 (FDroid build). Probably explains why it's not working for me.
Yeah, same here. Waiting for fdroid. No playstore in use.
BTW really good app! I like it very much! Simple!
I've just tagged the latest version in git. I think this means that fdroid should now pick it up.
Got the new updated one from fdroid. New Brighton Pier is available now too. Haven't seen it before. I used Lyttleton all the time which still doesn't work. I checked like Nelson, Auckland, Dunedin... those ones doesn't work either.
Just tried the updated F-Droid version, same issue as @Dan-Sun.
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I don’t have time to work out whats going on here. Have you tried the apk file?

Both the apk file installed manually and the play store version seem to be working fine.
Cheers jevon

@jevonlongdell - APK definitely works. Should I open an F-Droid issue?
Yea I think so.

It looks like the .tdat
filenames in the two APKs have differences in case. The F-Droid build seems to correctly use the case from the filenames as found in the git repo. So the issue seems to be that those don't match the capitalised ones in portlist
, so opening the file fails.
@obfusk is exactly right - I noticed that version 19 (fdroid, and only fdroid, have never used play store in my life) on my small tablet worked but same on my phone did not. Then I noticed auckland rather than Auckland on the tablet, then selected Auckland in the list and boom, broken also.
Is it time to decouple them somehow? ie generate the menu contents from the data file? This has been an issue on and off for years. Thank you for providing it <3
