Have the ability to define the device class/type #233

When adding a EM3 or any energy meter, it comes into Homey as 'other' and you cannot define the type, an example use case would be the ability to define a channel as 'solarpanel' , which would then show the channel correctly in the Homey energy panel.

Can this be updated to have the 'whats plugged in' visible for the EM range ?

For it to have the what's plugged in it needs to be a socket. Sockets however can't be registered as smart meters (which must people use their EM for). Perhaps allowing to update the device class of a specific channel through a flow card is something to consider if more users are interested in this feature.

its very common here in australia to use the shelly products in such a setup, where a EM3 or EM-50 are used to monitor grid/house/solar or just grid/solar, or multiple EM3 (monophase) to monitor large loads such as aircon/hot water/pools etc

having the ability to define the channel as such would be great, since such devices cannot usually be plugged into the usual smart plugs due to load limits.

can I ask what is the class/setting that indicates them as 'smart meters' ?
