While investigating an issue with another application and submitting quite a few traces, the developer pointed that the crashes and hangs I've noticed are caused by Apple's Accessibility code.
I have multiple applications enabled in Accessibility. After quite a bit of effort, trial and error, I've finally figured out that Slate is the one triggering these issues.
I'd be happy to provide any additional information (right now I'm not sure what details to add).
