Not sure I understand your problem. The 'auto iso' is a camera property, so the
camera is the one that controls the iso after you enable 'auto iso' not the
application

In the dialog box when you set auto iso there's a box where you can set the max
value auto iso can have; so, even if i choose auto iso to go to 6400, i can
only shoot to 1000iso max

It is the same as if you enable auto iso on camera. After you enable auto iso
the camera controls the iso value (it will not update in the application as
there is no way to do it). You must set the max iso value and the min shutter
speed and the camera does the rest.

before i set the max value, i used to shot up to 3200iso; ok, nice, but
sometimes i need to shot to 4000 or 5000 or 6400, so i set that parameter;
after that it only allows me to shot to 1000iso max, even if i go down to
1/8000th of second shutter speed at f16, which in indoor gives me totally black
picture
so i thought the parameter was misconfigured, for example i set 6400 and the
program write 1000 in the camera
ps: i cannot check in the camera, since monitor is broken and i cannot go
through menus

I will check the code to see if the values are correct. Please also try the new
cross platform version http://dslrdashboard.info

Checked the code and the values are property mapped for D700

ok, tnx for the effort
Is it possibile to have the opportunity not to set that value? I mean, once i
set that value, i only have to choose between a value in the list; originally
the value was not set (or set to null), maybe having the opportunity to go back
to that configuration would resolve my problem

Nop, the are 3 properties that control auto iso on Nikon.
The Auto ISO On/Off property.
The Auto Max ISO property
The Min Shutter speed property.
After you enable Auto ISO the camera will use the 2 properties to control the
ISO in response to shutter speed.
