Non-PDF attachements skipped when renaming #497

I get the following error message when I tried to use the "Rename attachments" button from the drop-down actions for an entry with a non-PDF (ex: MS Word or PowerPoint) presentation: "Attachment skipped because they are top-level items, snapshots, or the file does not exist."

Either the error message should be expanded or specialized to indicate/include the case that the file is not of the supported type (if non-PDF files are not supported) or there is a bug for these file types.

FYI, I am using Zotero v5.0.93 and Zotfile v5.0.16 on Mac OS Catalina.

Hi @lamorton,

I agree that text should be added to clarify that the attachment was skipped because it wasn't of the proper filetype. Also note that ZotFile can be configured to work for all filetypes. (Tools > ZotFile Preferences ... > Advanced Settings > Other Advanced Settings > "Only work with the following filetypes")
