Crash screen:

Civ1 distribution, could be illegal but in this cause might be worth it: http://www.skybuck.org/Games/Civilization1/civ1.zip
Not sure how to get a log from dos-box-x but now that I look at the debugger crash screen I do notice opengl commands:
http://www.skybuck.org/Games/Civilization1/CorruptionBug/Civilization1Crash.png
So perhaps dos-box-x is using some kind of opengl command, maybe because civilization is switching screen/maybe vga-mode, maybe this trips it up somehow...
I will try and see if there is a way to run dos-box-x without opengl... and I will also try and run these save games on another computer without broken 3d chip to see what might be causing this problem ! ;)
OK PROBLEM SOLVED BY CHANGING CONF TO:
output = surface
THANKS ! FALSE ALARM, BUT INTERESTING ANYWAY ! =D
ALSO FORCING SCALER FOR FULL SCREEN YES... TERRIFIC... NOW CAN PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN... WILL TRY WITH THE SAVE GAMES IN ZIP 1 AS WELL LOL, AT A LATER DATE !! COOLLLL ! =D
MY FAVORATE GAME WORKING AGAIN... BEST GAME EVER... THOUGH IT MIGHT BE A BIT EARLY TO CELEBRATE BUT LOOKS LIKE THE ISSUE IS GONE ! WILL REPORT BACK IF IT COMES BACK ! ;) =D

Describe the bug
When starting civilization 1 for dos, patched to latest patches v5 or something and loading the india save game from this distribution below, the civilization 1 game will show corruption after a few turns when the aztec spaceship reaches it's final destination.
For corruption lines appear and then finally the entire screen becomes corrupted, finally crashing/hanging/freezing the game and showing the dos-box-x debugger:

For further description of the save game involved check this forum issue:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civilization-1-has-a-corruption-bug-save-games-available.673905/
There is actually also a previous zip in that folder which also has corruption issue:
Link to other save games, first encountered this corruption issue: http://www.skybuck.org/Games/Civilization1/CorruptionBug/SaveGames/Zipped/civ1savegames.zip
Folder: http://www.skybuck.org/Games/Civilization1/CorruptionBug/SaveGames/Zipped/
I am not sure if the corruption is caused by a bug in civilization or in dos-box-x.
But seeing the debugger trigger in dos-box-x is making me believe/hunch that it might be a bug in dos-box-x or at least dos-box-x seems to have debugging capabilities that might be able to shine some more light onto why this corruption is occuring.
It would be incredibly usefull to know if this is a bug in dos-box-x or civilization 1 it self.
I was also really enjoying this india save game, cause of many AIs still alive, so I hope there is a way to fix it !
Bye for now, and thanks for a great dos simulator ! It works very good and has great sound ! (MT-32 emulation is used maybe that has something to do with the corruption don't know ! Good luck and may the debugging force be with you ! Always ! =D I could use some of that myself too.. and plan on getting a debugger working for Delphi lol but that is a different story =D)
Expected behavior
Don't corrupt the screen, don't hang.
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
Used configuration
Emulator log
Additional context
This laptop does have a broken 3D chip, perhaps it has something to do with the corruption issue, but I don't think so.
I will replicate this problem on another PC soon to see if it happens there too.
