Question

I tried to turn dosbox-x with the command 'dosbox-x -set machine=pc98' which gave me a error that reads 'bad command or file name - "dosbox-x"'. I tried it without the dosbox-x and it gave the same message, only with the "dosbox-x" replaced with "-set". I also found a similar thread which told me to alter the config file, however i dont know which line to alter as the line in the comment was not in my config file. image

You don't launch dosbox-x from dosbox-x, which is what you're actually doing. Either launch it from Command prompt or type config -set machine=pc98 on DOSBox-X.

There is nothing more I can say that is explained in the Wiki guide. Go to the Wiki page and find the PC-98 guide for instructions.

You can boot into PC-98 mode with your dosbox.conf file by setting machine=pc98
