Split bar resizing functionality in sidebar-only variant #110

Hello,

first I'd like to say that I really like this project!

Unfortunately, I am not sure why, but I cannot resize the navbar using the split bar. image I noticed it had size of 1px so I changed it to something higher, hence its width on the picture, but it is unresponsive. I would gladly provide any additional information though I am not a front end guy, so not sure what or where to look for it..

I am using doxygen 1.9.6 and I pulled latest version of this repo.

The screenshot makes me guess that you are using the sidebar only theme variant? Unfortunately sidebar resizing is not available in this variant due to how the theme achieves (or rather: hacks) this kind of layout.

If the sidebar is too wide or narrow to fit your content, its fixed width can be adjusted, as documented here.

@jothepro Thanks for the response you are absolutely correct! I'll consider not using the sidebar only theme.

BTW would it be possible to have this as a feature request? I very much prefer the sidebar only variant as it is really clean and neat.

This is not on my roadmap atm, I guess it would require some more investigation and a lot of ugly Javascript. But I learned in the past to never say never, so I'll keep this issue open for now. 😉
