Space at beginning Apostrophe too big

As you see in the picture, MS Word 2016 tries to convert Apostrophes with some text in between into a single German quote, where the first is low like a comma. That works, but the spacing between the low Apostrophe and the text is too big.

I ran into this issue, too. In German language scientific text single apostrophes are used very often. It would be great if that could be fixed.
