Uninstall of NO SQUINT from Firefox v.21 leaves Firefox zoom not working correctly #93

I uninstalled "No Squint" when I found it did not work as I wanted. Now Firefox (v.21) no longer remembers zoom levels of pages I visit. The ZOOM level is lost even within a browsing session.

The "No Squint" uninstall asked if I wanted to restore FF zoom functionality - to which I answered YES.

After Uninstall I tried Windows RESTORE to return system to state prior to "No Squint" install, this did not help.

I had exactly the same problem and it took me a while to figure out that after uninstalling NoSquint I needed to manually revert browser.zoom.siteSpecific preference back to true.

I have no idea why uninstaller couldn't set the browser.zoom.siteSpecific option to true, but if this very easy solution had been mentioned in the FAQ, we wouldn't have had to waste hours trying to find the source of the problem.

Win 7x64 FF 28.0 FF 24 (actually Pale Moon 24.5.0x86)

Yes, I clicked YES button when I was asked to restore Firefox's native behavior.

When tested in FF24, I paid attention that before restart the browser.zoom.siteSpecific preference had been set to true, but after restart it was again set to false.

So I would suggest (at least) adding the information regarding this problem to the FAQ.
