Joystick endpoints messed up #769

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect joystick, start APM software
2. Open Joystick window and it seems to work OK, endpoints are OK at this stage.
3. Connect to the ArduPilot Mega 2.0 with the latest firmware using 3DR data
modems.
After connection the joystick endpoints are messed up (ailerons, elevator and
rudder, throttle seems OK).
high PWM is lowered to the center. min PWM is very close to center possition.
I've double checked in windows it works perfect (calibrated).
Joystick - Logitech Force 3D Pro (checked with similar game controller as
described in Wiki with the same issue).

are you sure your rc trim values are set correctly?

Hmm, actually I am trying this setup without rc rx at all.
Is there a way to use without rx? Just data modems?
Thanks

you need to modify the code to not do rx trim then.

I've tried with RC connected and running. But then I enable joystick controls
airplane controls goes to joystick center position and acts the same way as it
was without rc connected (Issue above).
Is there a way to trim/preset joystick endpoints and center?
Thanks.
