Last summer I started this experimental mini-project -> https://github.com/joaomcteixeira/libfuncpy to apply functional programming concepts in python. I added it as a dependency for idpconfgen but that was very premature. Later I removed it https://github.com/julie-forman-kay-lab/IDPConformerGenerator/pull/160
