Task 9. Design and lead strategic recruitment and additional engagement. The formality of the network and level of engagement by participants will be carefully and iteratively designed with advisory input from potential participants so that the amount of engagement and level of participation required of members is commensurate with relative capacities, motivations, and perceived value. Initial engagement will include a quick and easy needs assessment to help inform our subsequent engagements and how we work to provide the climate risk profile and other climate related-resources and tools that are already available. We will work with existing networks such as the Western Adaptation Alliance, the Colorado Compact of Mayors, and the Urban Sustainability Directors Network to identify interested communities: both those already involved in the networks and those not involved but who have expressed interest in climate action. Once participating communities have been identified, we will engage them through webinars, phone calls, and face-to-face meeting(s) as described in Task 10.
