What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot from USB stick prepared with NetbookMaker 0.8.3 rc4 and retail 10.6
2.
3.

What netbook are you using this on?
Acer Aspire One D250 - N270, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Immediate kernel panic on boot from USB stick - unsupported CPU type

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
NetbookMaker 0.8.3 RC4 and retail 10.6 or iAtkos 7

Please provide any additional information below.
Trying to install 10.6 from USB stick on my Acer Aspire One D250 - N270,
1GB RAM, 160GB HD. I have attempted to install several times using both
retail 10.6 and iAtkos 7 with the same results each time. I have removed
the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kexts and replaced with
NullCPUPowerManagement kext which gets me a bit further with no kernel
panic but then hangs just before the main install screen is supposed to
appear. I have tried the remove battery trick to no avail. Each time it
hangs, if I press the power button briefly, the mouse pointer changes to
the spinning beachball and then nothing.

The only way I got this to install was with the battery out (which you have
tried). Double check that your USB
was Formatted to: Mac OS Extended and as Master Boot Record. I used retail 10.6
and NBI&NBM RC4 on my
D250. This is the problem kext I believe AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext when it
comes to the battery KP's.

UPDATE ~ Tried the install using iAtkos 7 then NetbookMaker 0.8.3 RC5 and
success!
You MUST remove the battery or install will fail. I now have OSX 10.5.7
installed
and running "mostly"... I have to use an external keyboard and mouse as the
built-in
ones do not yet work. I also have no wired or wireless access yet and oddly,
my USB
keys refuse to mount even though they do appear in System Profiler. Will post
more
as I get further along...
