Improved readability of search controls and aligned colors more consistently with NightOwl color palette.

Made an additional commit as it seems the changes I made in the designer didn't update the vstheme file. I suspect a bug in the designer. Anyway, I went back in and just updated the file manually. Should be all good now :)
