After a detailed review on the functionality of the R-package yaml, I concluded that most of the limitations of yamlme can be solved by importing functions of this package.
The most important improvements and changes in this version are:
render_rmd() becomes simpler
write_rmd() will only write Rmarkdown files from rmd_doc objects. To coerce lists into rmd_doc there is a new as() method.
In the previous CRAN version, read_rmd() was not able to import the yaml-header. Now, thanks the package yaml, it does it.
