No key clicks on SCI 15C #49

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I just downloaded the latest 15C (ver 1.3) on ITunes store. It is not
possible to activate the keyboard clicks.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Settings - SCI-15C
2. Activate "Audible Key Clicks"
3. Start SCI 15C - no key clicks on pressing any key.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would be good to have key-clicks available as audio feedback. Any option
(global sound aspects, local 15C settings work)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SCI- 15C: Version 1.3
IPod FW: 2.2.0

Please provide any additional information below.

I don't believe the older iPod Touch has a speaker to play key clicks through.

Ipod 1 G might not have a proper speaker, but a piezo beeper. This is used for
alarm
sounds, keyboard klicks, etc. I would expect a keyboard click on SCI 15C like
on all
other applications (e.g. button click sound when writing mails, etc).

Thank you for that info. I'll look into this further and see if there's a
separate
API call to generate a key click on the 1st gen iPod.
