Paths issue #105

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When you try to enter "./sub" for vsfilter to look subtitles in "sub" folder it
doesn't add it to paths cuz there is a default non-removable "./subtitles" path
whichi most likely won't look for subtitles in "sub" folder.

Also, can I make vsfilter look for subtitles in any folder starting with "sub"
? like in folder called "subs from 1447 t3am" and "sub kor", there are endless
folder names for subs but all starting with "sub" usually, can vsfilter do it?

It appears that not being able to add "./sub" is an issue which exists in all
versions of VSFilter including 2.39 & 2.41 for some reason. You can workaround
this by just adding the path manually to the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\VSFilter\DefTextPathes and it will work.

As for your other question, VSFilter doesn't appear to support wildcards in the
path area. Maybe in the future we could add something like RegEx functionality.

It would be great if in addition to a fixed path can be specified mask. Since
there are often several folders with different names subtitle:
\ RUS Subs [A2 & Co]
\ RUS Subs [HR + Stan WarHammer]
