Reported by Mike Godin working from East Coast. Would there be any lag between servers? Maybe Google map is served up from a location closer to him and responds faster than servers at MBARI. But I would think that would all be client side for vector/marker ... hmmm.

Going to mark as fixed for now, I can't reproduce and don't have persistent complaints. I am sure it will crop up again :).
