This project seems abandoned #1353

I might be stating the obvious but for those who didn't notice:

This project seems abandoned because no commits have been made for years: https://github.com/kimchi-project/kimchi/graphs/code-frequency

Also the kimchi-devel@ovirt.org mailinglist is basically emtpy: https://lists.ovirt.org/archives/list/kimchi-devel@ovirt.org

OK, buyt someone knows some other tool that do the same?

VeldoraTheDragon commented 9 months ago

yep, would be also interested into a tool, that does the same.

I have heard about mist.io, but I'm not very satisfied with the RAM-usage, when it's only running, without any vm's turned on. (about 1.5GB)

Not a fan of Proxmox and XCP-NG. Rather a distro independed tool that can be installed on any linux distro that supports qemu/kvm.

Cockpit with the machines app is a great alternative.

VeldoraTheDragon commented 3 months ago

@jdgregson Yea I've heard about Cockpit and used the machines app already.

Unfortunately doesn't it meet my needs. Additionally is cockpit a complete web-ui to admin a server including terminal, users, services and additional services I dont need.

Would there be a standalone variant of the cockpit-machines app, like kimchi would've been, it would actually be a useful alternative (not that I want to say, that machines w. cockpit isn't useful, it just has too many features to just administer some vm's).
