There was an issue with SPFx command buttons. SPO introduced new Lists UI which caused a whole lot of issues to a whole lot of pple:

- https://github.com/SharePoint/sp-dev-docs/issues/9797 We had a ticket with MS and it seems they fixed it,.. which looks more like they rolled back to the old UI, but the great news is it's working for us now.
I will have to update this sample, it's very old, few versions of node and SharePoint Framework back.

First and foremost, thank you for the excellent instructions for beginning spfx developers.
Sadly, for me both in local debug and deployed as app in SharePoint online, the new commands don't seem to be added to the command bar. This is the case both for libraries and lists. The debug console mainly complains about icon reloading and missing source mappings.
I am using NodeJS 16.18.1.
Am I missing something?
