PHP Version #92

My hosting service only provides PHP version 5.2.17 and won't upgrade. Is there any version of Stacey that works with 5.2.17? Or can anyone advise which parts won't work under 5.2.17 if I over-ride the check.

You should require your host to upgrade, or consider switching hosts. PHP 5.2 was released in 2006 (!) and Stacey should not be crippled by hanging around old technologies. A good host with latest PHP will set you back 5$/mnth, for example http://digitalocean.com

Thanks, suncat100, but I'm still curious about the original question. I work for a company that will not consider a service switch, and my request to said service yielded negative results (paraphrasing: "We would have to uninstall PHP and reinstall in a production environment. This is not easy, so sorry but no."). I'm considering setting up a local development VM running 5.2 to test or might use a previous version of Stacey, but it would save me some trouble if someone could give a very brief answer to the original question.

What version of Stacey have you been using? Stacey 3.0 has been available for a while, but you can still download Stacey 2.3, although I am not quite sure what PHP version is requires.
