What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to another device through bluetooth, that offers a bluetooth hotspot
2. Turn on the "internet access" toggle in the device options
3. ...try to connect to anything
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-Expected to have connectivity.
-No connectivity is present.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
-LT26i black with broken gyro/orientation :(
-4.4.4 Beta 5 (Jun 22 17:51:41 2014 IST build time)
-ART runtime, but was not working for a long time before already (switched to
ART yesterday)
Please provide any additional information below.
The hotspot device is an iPad 3G 64g wifi+cell.
The iPad indicates that a device is connected to the hotspot.
The phone indicates that it is connected to the iPad. The "internet connection"
toggle stays on.
WiFi hotspot works as normal, hogs battery as normal too ;)
This setup worked on OpenSEMC 4.2, possibly on 4.3 as well. Did not not exactly
when the regression happened.
Independent of the iPad's OS, as far as I know (7.0.4JB atm).
Connectivity attempts fail immediately (no delay whatsoever). RDP app says "no
active connection found", browser DNS resolving fails immediately. Using DNS
Changer to set everything to google open dns wont do a thing either (probably
does not affect bt).
