1 year ago No, you can run it directly off of a persistent datastore. The install is purely for convenience or for cases where you rather have the script installed on host rather on local/remote datastore

When I try backing up VM I get errors below. This did work on 7.0.1.
I am backing up to an NFS mount.

I have set Disk Format to zeroed thick. I have had issues with this in the past and had to use 2gbsparse. Can you advise which and when each format should be used?

Hi,
Is it necessary to install GhettoVCB or can I just save the GhettoVCB files to my NFS share and run the commands for backup from there without any install. This is what I have done in the past but I want to use the new version now for 7.0.3 support. What are the implications of not installing and just running the script from NFS mount?
