Did you consider including SRV records for imap and email submissions, as recommended by https://bridge.grumpy-troll.org/2020/07/small-mailserver-bcp/ and https://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-daboo-srv-email-05.html ? It is easy to add and might make life a little easier.
